How Hlumi Stays Free

Hlumi is supported entirely by advertising, which allows us to keep the platform completely free for all users. We partner with Google AdSense to serve relevant, policy-compliant advertisements across the platform. These include:

• Display & Native Ads — responsive banners, in-article, in-feed, and multiplex ad units displayed on page areas surrounding video content
• Auto Ads — anchor ads (sticky bottom bar), side rail ads (desktop), and vignette ads (full-screen between navigations), managed automatically by Google
• Video Ads (IMA SDK) — pre-roll, mid-roll, and post-roll video advertisements served directly inside the Hlumi video player via Google’s Interactive Media Ads (IMA) SDK, including non-linear overlay banners and companion ads
• Related Search Ads (RSOC/AFS) — contextual search suggestion units that surface relevant advertiser results based on the content you are watching

All advertising on Hlumi is served in compliance with Google AdSense Program Policies, GDPR, UK GDPR, CCPA, and the IAB Europe Transparency and Consent Framework (TCF v2.3). Content Safety & Moderation

We take content quality and platform safety seriously. Hlumi operates a multi-layer content moderation system:

• New creator uploads go through an admin approval queue for the first five submissions
• Community members can flag any video — three flags trigger a manual review
• Automated content scanning for policy violations
• DMCA takedown request support for copyright holders
• Strict prohibition on violent, adult, hateful, or copyright-infringing content
